Getting back to blogging

I really fell off the wagon when it came to blogging after university, it’s something that I just associated with coursework but now that I’m working full time I wish i’d utilised it better. Working full time in a creative job you create a pipeline to give your employer the best results as quick as possible, and although professionally this is a good skill to have, sometimes it lacks the freshness of a new challenges as your often made to stay in your lane due to project constraints. In 2019 I made the new years resolution to “celebrate my successes”. This is something I've seen many people in my industry struggle with as it’s often hard to pat yourself on the back when you’re always looking to overcome the next hurdle. Part of my process for achieving this resolution was updating my portfolio with all the storefronts I've designed and brands I've maintained over the past months and in the process I figured it would be the perfect time to resurrect the blog - hence what your reading now. This blog is my attempt at keeping my brain creative and practising visual exercise. So it'll be ideal for other creators, artists and people pursuing creative jobs to tag along and share ideas. Along with design and artwork i’ll also be documenting my hobbies such as photography and video production. Occasionally we might skew from the path and write personal posts but all and all it'll be creation focused. All of these will be logged publicly on this blog and made available through other social streams.
